The New Council of Governors

Executive Order #13528 creates an elite Council of Governors to assist USNORTHCOM and the National Guard to implement Martial Law and Continuity of Government.

The following is in response to an earlier email I sent regarding EO#13528 signed by the White House on January 11th that has now created a new Council of Governors to oversee matters of “homeland defense” in the event of a national crisis employing the US military and national guard for “civil support.”  Section 2.d of this EO calls for the “synchronization and integration of state and federal military activities in the US.” As this link below indicates this EO is stoking fears of martial law and an emerging police state:

This EO was based on the provisions of the Defense Authorization Act secretly signed by George Bush in 2006, and this was in direct response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  At that time the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Bush administration wanted to “federalize” the national guard and Louisiana governor Kathleen Blanco (D) flatly refused to allow this to happen.  (Governor Haley Barbour of Mississippi also refused pressure to federalize the national guard).  President Bush almost used provisions of the Insurrection Act of 1808 to impose federal control, but opted to use FEMA thugs to do house-to-house searches for weapons and confiscation.  This action was such a violation of citizen’s rights (namely The Bill of Rights) that House and Senate bills were immediately introduced in Congress to affirm the 2nd Amendment and citizen’s right to defend themselves!

To address the problems encountered during Katrina, and resistance of the states, the federal government is now prepared to employ the military, the guard and civil law enforcment under the DHS and the Pentagon.  The Council of Governors are comprised of ten (10) governors who are naturally inclined to eviscerate civil liberties and promote federal authority over the sovereign states.  As noted in the article below these ten governors have been selected from the ten federal regions of the US that were adopted during the Nixon administration and that continue to this day as this map illustrates:

FEMA Regions Map.

As you can see, Washington bureaucrats do not necessarily see the USA as 50 separate states.  We are just herded into regions and this command structure fits neatly into the overall mission of USNORTHCOM to “coordinate defense support of civil authorities” and protect “national power” within the US, Canada and Mexico (www.northcom.mil)

The following article is by Pastor Chuck Baldwin who is courageously exposing this raw violation of states rights, citizen’s rights, the rule of law and the Posse Comitatus Act of 1787 (when Civil War troops were roughing up citizens).  We are just one crisis, or black flag event, in which the federal government imposes martial law and starts to identify citizens as “terrorist” or “enemy combatants” in their New World Order.  The very fact that the US is facing a financial reckoning day is reason for serious pause and consideration as the forces of tyranny of growing in power, scope and operations.

I know this information can be distressing but you need to share this information with your friends and concerned citizens.  I am convinced that we have reached a “tipping point” in the social contract between the people and the government in which government is becoming all-powerful and our leaders have nothing but contempt for the Constitution and the principles of limited government.  The Tea Party Movement is very encouraging but I am afraid that it is too little too late and we simply need to be aware and prepared for the worst.   I have highlighted sections in red for emphasis and for more on this subject you can go to this link.
Trust the Lord, but keep your powder dry, Chuck.

> Well, Obama's CG is quickly beginning to take shape. According to the
> Associated Press (AP), "President Barack Obama has selected Missouri Gov.
> Jay Nixon to serve on an advisory council for defense and national security
> issues.
>
> "Nixon was one of 10 governors named Thursday [February 4, 2009] by Obama to
> the newly created Council of Governors."
>
> The 10 governors (and one of them is not even a State governor) selected by
> Obama are:
>
> *Governor James Douglas (R-Vermont) *Co-chair
> *Governor Chris Gregoire (D-Washington) *Co-chair
> Governor Brad Henry (D-Oklahoma)
> Governor Jay Nixon (D-Missouri)
> Governor Martin O'Malley (D-Maryland)
> Governor Janice Brewer (R-Arizona)
> Governor Bob McDonnell (R-Virginia)
> Governor Michael Rounds (R-South Dakota)
> Governor Beverly Perdue (D-North Carolina)
> Governor Luis G. Fortuno (R-Puerto Rico)
>
> As I have already written, the creation of a CG should be of serious concern
> to all liberty loving Americans. That more of us are not as concerned as we

> As I have said many times, we have far more to fear from Washington, D.C.,

> It is Washington, D.C.,--and Washington, D.C., alone--that has the power,
> opportunity, and propensity to squash our freedom and sell us into tyranny.

> As Kurt Nimmo reports, "In other words, with the stroke of a pen, Obama
> significantly increased the ongoing effort to federalize the states and take
> control of the National Guard in violation of the now more or less moribund
> Posse Comitatus Act. Posse Comitatus was effectively annulled by the 2006
> John Warner National Defense Authorization Act. The act provides the
> president with power to declare martial law under revisions to the
> Insurrection Act and take charge of United States National Guard troops
> without state governor authorization. Parts of the act were repealed in

> So, here is the list of the Council of Governors, as it coincides with the

> should easily be able to see the logic of how and why these governors were

>
> Region 1: Governor Douglas of Vermont
> Region 2: Governor Fortuno of Puerto Rico
> Region 3: Governor O'Malley of Maryland and Governor McDonnell of Virginia.
> These are necessary, as these are the two border states of Washington, D.C.
> Region 4: Governor Perdue of North Carolina
> Region 5: President Barack Obama of Illinois
> Region 6: Governor Henry of Oklahoma
> Region 7: Governor Nixon of Missouri
> Region 8: Governor Rounds of South Dakota
> Region 9: Governor Brewer of Arizona
> Region 10: Governor Gregoire of Washington State
>
